I've been wondering what other people think about it.My picks are 1.Facuilty (007 Goldeneye N64) 2.Rust (Cod MW2) 3.Office (Counter-Strike)
1. Bog (CoD4) 2. Villa (RSV2) Yes it's overplayed, but there's a reason for that. 3. Blood Drive (GoW2) Obviously I haven't played very many video games.
Top 3 off of the top of my head are: Temple - Golden Eye 007 (64) Hyrule Castle - Super Smash Bro's Melee (GC) Atacama Desert - BATTLEFIELD: Bad Company 2 (PS3, 360, PC)
Tough question. I've loved and forgotten more maps than I can remember. I think on the whole I prefer open maps, confined is so overdone now, probably because the tech wasn't really good enough for large spaces until recently. Close quarters has it's place, it works pretty well in Rainbow Six, but right now I'm happiest when I can see a war going on far into the distance, then hop in a plane/jeep/helicopter and smash into the little bastards. So yeah. My preferences change depending on the game really, it's hard to just choose a few. The UT series has always had some interesting maps, and I'm quite fond of the old Quake 3 Arena stuff. Good memories.
Rainbow Road - Every Mario Kart game since MK64 The Skate Ranch - Tony Hawk's American Wasteland Verruckt - Nazi Zombies Overgrown - Call of Duty 4 Rust - Modern Warfare 2
I just listed 3. Blood Gulch is definitely top 5. Loved that map. But wasn't it on Halo: CE first? Cause that's what I remember playing it on. Unless my memory is that bad lol.
Blood Gulch (Halo) Chinatown (In COD2 and COD4) Harvest Day (BFBC1) All BFBC2 maps Shipment (COD4) Crash (COD4) Bog (COD4) Highrise (MW2)
It's saddening to see so many modern games mentioned in here. Yes, they're the current talk of the town, but there were still a ton of awesome maps before Halo and CoD came along.
Wake Island - Battlefield 1943 Fuel - Modern Warfare 2 ac_desert - Assault Cube Over and Out - Battlefield Bad Company Final Ignition - Battlefield Bad Company Ascension - Battlefield Bad Company Valley Run - Battlefield Bad Company Ghost Town - Battlefield Bad Company Arica Harbor - Battlefield Bad Company 2
No, it's definitely in Halo: CE. I remember beating my friend on that map when we played on the computers in the school's library.
My recent favorites: Asylum: Cod5 Der Reise: CoD5 Nazi Zombies Terminal: MW2 Courtyard: CoD5 Pokemon Stadium: SSBmelee Bog: CoD4 Sorry to be so mainstream
