Yeah well, I am thouroughly enjoying playing FF 7, 8, and 10 on my idevices, I have played completely through 7 on my ipod touch and 8 on my iphone. Sooo, yeah jailbreaking has some benefits ( in case you are one of those that wonder why people do it).
A lot of the games people are mentioning would never coming to the iPhone.... People should be a bit more realistic I think.
My picks Considering that the idevices are as powerful as the Dreamcast and almost as good(Graphics-wise) as the PS2.. Skies of Arcadia(GC) Tales of Symphonia(GC) Zelda The WindWaker(GC) Splinter Cell(s) Conker(xbox) Mushihimesama A special Edition DiscWorld(with enhanced graphics and good interface) Like Monkey Island was given Would really like from the new systems: Little Big Planet COD MW1 or 2 Gears of War Left 4 Dead
Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror
"just cause 2" hope this eventually comes to iphone. http://www.destructoid.com/just-cause-2-s-vehicle-stunts-look-absolutely-bonkers-156714.phtml
More popcap games Maybe I am being too girly, but I enjoy all popcap games on my pc, like puzzle express. They have many games that would be great for on the go play.
I'd love to see a proper port of Lemmings with pinch zoom and a good touch interface... I can see a possibility for the game to port very well... unlike the current one on the App store. Also, Heroes of Might and Magic 3 was my personal favorite in the series, though I could live with 5 if I had to, but a port of any part of the series needs to have a proper interface as well. TBS on the iPhone is just too small scale still. I've been hoping and wishing for the old Sierra and LucasArts point and click adventures to be ported as well... particularly the Space Quest series and Sam & Max Hit the Road. A Beneath a Steel Sky style interface would do well on these. It's a shame none of these will come to the iPhone anytime soon, but I'd rather not have any of these if the companies simply do straight ports with no touch interface optimizations
