I have finally decided to buy a video camera. I need something between 100-200 dollar range, shoots HD, and have good picture quality. I am thinking about getting a Flip UltraHD. Any other suggestions or should i get the flip.
The flip's mic has always been an issue with me. There's always white noise that really ticks me off. It's not a bad candidate, though, but maybe you could snoop around eBay and find a good deal on something a couple months old or something.
Creative Vado HD is an alternative option, my brother has one and it's a pretty impressive package. The specs are very similar to the Flip actually, but it's light as a feather (100g), which is great because you can film shots one handed and keep it steady pretty easily.
The Mic isn't a huge deal for me. I also probably be running it through some stabilization software. The flip was named best budget camcorder by cnet and has had good reviews. one thing that worries me is it apparently doesn't do well in low light. Any other ideas?
I tried the zi8, but ended up returning it to the store due to the poor autofocus performance, a red led light that couldn't be disabled, and lack of white balance adjustment.
