Touch KO is a boxing game, not a side scroll fighting game.

I heard that Capcom is going to release Street Fighter, that is all we have to look forward to so far. I think Mortal Kombat was just a rumor, though I was really hoping they would release it.

Street Fighter II will be out soon with many other games as said by Capcom, if you can't wait for that; then I suggest that you jailbreak your ipod touch/iphone :p

This game called Streets of Rage from Sega was just put into the app store. If you're looking for a side scroller, then this might be for you. But someone needs to TOFTT heheh.

I don't think that's what he meant. He meant something like Street Fighter, King of Fighters, etc.

Yup, I meant something like Street Fighter :)

Ok thank you guys for the report. So Capcom is really gonna port SFighter to iPhone ?

How will they manage to keep the D-Pad tricks with such a tiny space ?

Will they just copy / paste an existing game, or make a new version ?

In fact, I'm wondering if there is any original fighting game in the works, like SFIV, DOA, KOF, FFury, etc, because it's clearly lacking ...

If it's only a port, there's no real game value, as we can already play it on Jailbroken iPhones or other handconsoles.

I hoped there would be more in this overcrowded appstore

    Cheers

I hate to give teasers, but we have been working on a casual fighter...not like Street Fighter, but more like Streets of Rage, but not exactly.

It has some interesting elements, and at least one unique feature not found in any other fighting games. We are working our butts off on it at the moment. Stay tuned though, we might have something to show in a few weeks.

That's cool, can't wait to see it :)

Streets of Rage is a top reference.

I think a fighting game could work well on the iphone. IMO, i think controls like those in VANS Sk8 would work pretty well,, by swiping to do combos and such.

Explain how the hell that's going to work on an iPhone smoothly, and actually playable control-wise.

As being an active fighting games and, recently, Street Fighter IV player (Fei Long for the win), I have very high expectations about what quality should be set for controls.
