I think you can make that argument about a lot of genres of games, and that's no reason to exclude zombie games from the poll. People love/hate tower defense games. People also love/ hate match 3 games. The reason zombie games have so many threads is because many of the more prolific forum members are of the demographic that finds zombies oh-so-interesting...
right but I didn't want to skew the poll. Many of the zombie game haters hate zombie games in general, AS WELL as the fact that there are too many of them. In other words many people would just click on the zombie option even if there were only 5 zombie games in the store. The people who hate zombie games think that there are only 2-3 good zombie games in the store, when most people believe that a good enough percentage of the zombie games in the store are good. This shows here in the forums whenever a zombie game is released it usually has a thread created for it right away with plenty of posts and interest to follow. Games like doodle games, match games are a different story. Most people can agree that there are only a handful of good doodle games in the store, and around 300 generic wannabe doodle games with more coming in daily. Most of the doodle games you see in the TA "new games" section nobody even bothers to create a thread for, or discuss. Most of the zombie games, TD games you see in the "new games" section have threads created for them right away, which shows consistant interest from a fairly large audience of gamers for those genres, even though many people don't like them.
^ Still may that be as is I still want a zombie poll option haha. It just seems like a waste of potential talent just to make a few thousand of a over used theme when there are oh so many themes/gametypes that have yet to have been touched... I want to believe that the iDevice can be more than "ZOMG!!! ZOMBEHZ KILL ZEM ALLZ!" But it seems to be a losing battle, seriously how many times can you take a zombie game and change one thing and maybe a different coat of paint and sell it as "New and addictive!"?
oh yeah I agree, but there are many good zombie games in the store according to many people. Many threads for many different zombie games with many posts being bumped every day by many members. More fan interest than any other option on the poll. The best thing to do is if you want a zombie poll just create a new thread with a new poll just for that. Like a direct question... "Are you sick of zombie games?"
