Here is how I know Daniel is cheating http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100001879760700 http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100001865751114 http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001843070691 and 100's more are like this All of these only have one friend..I think its pretty conclusive that they are fake accounts
I'll will talk with my partner but it's not so "conclusive" because the man "Ayah Izzah" would have 3 friends with out facebook account and he ask them to create one account to help him to win a samsumg and after that Daniel who is firend of Ayah ask him for help in the Time Geeks contest. Hard to believe? yes! but impossible?
highly unlikely to change the rule? Quality is better than quantity...Although I have 202 likes but I think that it is best to have creative or better best submitter to win the iPad =)
"You don't change the rules while the game is on". But in this case I think you should make an exception and pick the best project in your opinion. Or at least disqualify the cheaters. Because it is obvious the present rules don't work well. If you plan to make another contest in the future, try to come up with some fair rules and everybody will be happy, excluding the cheaters
Argh, i hate these "gather as much likes" contests... People can just ask friends to vote for them, even if they themsekves dont think his/her islands the best... You always end up seeing others with crazy numbers like "50-100+ likes" that its nearly impossible to gather so many likes yourself. Theres also cheaters who create multiple accounts...
I agree with you bro! but I thought organisers always have the terms & conditions that enable them to amend it? impossible for me to win against forum votes
I hope that shall there be any changes to the rules and regulations of the contest to make it more fair etc. be it the way to win the contest or the conditions, please announce early before the deadline as it is near..=)
Change the rules. Change the rules. Make a poll on TA instead. I'll win for sure. Not coz I think a lot of them members will vote for me (not too many did on fb eh), but coz I can edit the poll and give my self 10000 votes in 10 seconds And btw, please confirm asap if fake accounts on fb are fine. Even if I start now, I'm confident of winning it. You have no idea how fast I can be with such stuff. Those who are cheating wont even know what hit them when they lose by 500 votes by the time this contest is over tonight j/k Anyways, I didnt expect to win when I entered the contest but I DID expect about 50-100 votes on FB. Just the fact that so many people i dont know IRL appreciated my work on TA enough to like my post would have been as much worth (if not more) to me as winning the iPad. Apparently, I overestimated it. And by a huge margin too. Think I should have gone easier on all those infractions I gave to members in the last year Seriously speaking, I think you should be able to report to facebook and ask them if those accounts are real or fake. If these are fake, no one can make so many accounts with different IPs. Either they used the same for most of them or they used proxies. In both cases facebook staff should be capable of finding it out. Also they must also know when these were created. If most of them happened to be created recently only, it'll be even more easier for Fb staff to consider them as dupes. But in the end, its just a contest. I dont know how well these work, but from what I've seen, I dont think it'll worth the cost of an iPad for you (an indie dev with just one game to offer) to begin with. Just hold smaller giveaways instead. They end up giving you a better response than these if you compare the costs IMO.

This is the only thing that i'm sure. This contest was a bad idea to us The facebook contest is managed by my partner, not me. But i guess that the winner will be the island with the most votes despite the fact that indeed many of those votes are of dubious origin. It's not easy to us report to facebook, investigate, play to be police. We only make games for fun. If we ever do something like this we'll be sure to find a way that really the result is fair. PS: We have more than one game: Twistouch, iBumpy galaxy, iDonut Connect are games from Ivanovich Games.
Hi guys, first of all SORRY for my english because I'm spanish I'm participating in this contest, I have 335 votes and i've just found this thread in this forum that i didn't know And I really hope that nobody uses fake accounts, because it's not fair and it seems that Daniel Chin is using it I get all of this votes posting my photo in a forum and the major part asking to my friends day and nite You can prove it, the votes are at day and night But i also think that 670 are a lot to be all these accounts fake, but of course If only one is fake he has to be disqualyfied One more time sorry for my english
Yes I'm using a forum of friends for voting me, but the major part of the votes came from my friends (not in the account Francisco because I don't have any friends there and it's the account of a familiar, and of course in my personal account I dont give a like to the photo, you can prove it whenever you want) I don't make fake votes, if people want they vote me or not Like the picture of touch arcade Correct me if I'm wrong but it's the same
This is a good idea But we have to convince facebook to track the IP's Im participating and all of my votes are from different IP's except the vote from my mother of course, because we live in the same house
@eusoneu - Welcome to TA I saw your Likes increasing super fast but I'm not accusing you cheating That's a lot of effort, that I heard you using other forums to gain more Likes Still you can't beat the cheating man, Daniel Chin LOL This person most likely using script, bot or software to create multiple fake accounts, for example like this one, http://www.facebookdevil.com/ http://captchahacker.com/ I'm not sure if it's working, but you can try If Daniel Chin know how to do it, his friend know how to do it too - just ask or borrow all the bots from his friend to gain more Likes.
The case is that the major part of people that votes Daniel Chin only have 1 or 2 friends, or have the privacy at maximum privacy I hope ivanovich could talk with the contest creator
have to LOL at they way he reply when ppl doubt his likes. I decided to throw him a sarcastic wish. May the most popular man win!
