Oh i am man, I'm not going to lie. I played this game pretty much straight from 7PM last night to 2AM. I also came home early today to spend the next 3 hours playing it. It's to bad the winner isn't based on time played. Because i don't think anyone could beat me that way. ha ha But for the pattern, The key is to get lucky on the game (One that has more hearts then normal aka, first heart at 5,000 is a good sign) And then from there you need to stack up on lifes. At about 150k you need to: boost-> boost-> hit the ground/boost -> jump-> boost -> boost and just keep repeating!
Exactly the way to do it! The game will provide a stage where I have been able to get 20 hearts and if you use them accurately enough you can definitely score above 250K. This contest has really been great because it takes more then luck to do well and it seems we have all found good fortune with it . Even if I do not win(still trying but doubt it), it has been an absolute blast playing with you guys as everyone has been so great and supportive.
Yeah, I get at least 10 hearts 95% of the time. there other 5% i restart before 20k. But i seem to lose focus at some point and i lose 3-5 hearts in a row.
Yeah, that's one of the most trying parts. When you get used to the faster speed, starting from the beginning can wear you down and break your focus. I'm just glad the devs put a very accessible restart button without having to fiddle with menus.
The strategy is knowing when to risk losing one heart in replacing it with a massive score add on. There are times you do a dash and hit 8 darts making 8x800 or other times you dash into 3 rocks and get the hearts pounded out of you.
Pretty much what I've been doing, and yeah, its not about how long you play, cause I really spent a lot of time on this game. I don't really lose focus, but I lose lives just because the rhino lands on several fruit carts only to meet his doom by falling down the cliff or to meet with 10 helis in a row (honestly I don't know if thats even logical LOL) Skills + Luck is needed, and the luck part is the hardest. Luck = hearts.
lol yeah, I've actually been keeping a list of suggestions i have thought of during game play. On the top of that list is changing the "invincibility" after dying and being able to dash after jumping off a rock/car/fruit/anything Also, there is about 2 hours and 10 mins or so left in this contest i believe. I also have no faith that i'm going to win since i have put in about like 5-10 hours over the last 24 hours and i have not broke 200k since 2 days ago.
The most annoying thing for me is when I lose a lot of lives just by continuously bouncing on top of fruit carts, car, darts. Its like an infinite loop and you're not in control. By then, I have lost like 4-5 hearts.
YES! the invisibility works wonders. I seem to get close enough to my score but then my risk does not pay off..darn it.
I must say TanTan is a good sport to share his/her pattern DURING the contest. I'm doing the same thing, I wish u can have infinite boost in the air instead of double boosts. We might see the 1mil score being broken LOL. 195k is the best I can do. I average around 120-140k...
Make sure you find if the game is going to pay off at first because there are rounds I would say make it impossible to hit over 130K
there are rounds where i get to 30k without encountering a single heart, makes me wonder why i was still playing that round. haha
Haha,Oh I KNOW. I did this contest when it was for an ipod touch and I learned some of the tricks to it which Tan and I have detailed in this thread but it was something I noticed when certain game times were like Heart central. Then you decided if you are going for points by movement or points by destruction.
Yeah, I know, I just played and played, I didn't do the restart thing, cause I thought the pattern is just random. At times, I get like no lives at all til 20k and then by 90k I'm on 15 lives. So I just played even with the shitty starts.
Believe it or not, but i'm actually a notorious trash talker on PlayStation Network. I do have to say though that it feels good being the nice guy. But i did think i had this in the bag when i had my 200K round (lol)
