Unless his mac is the latest Mac Pro with the latest Xeon processors. He basically means the way each OS handles programs, how fast it runs them and how it handles them in memory...Mac OSX does a much better job than Windows at this...programs start and run much better and faster compared to Windows PCs running the same specs and programs. OSX is a hell of a lot more efficient OS and a lot more secure to boot. I used to think the same about build quality too. I got a Dell Studio XPS 13 and I thought this was the best built PC laptop out there...and I still think it is after testing out many other PC laptops. But Macbook Pros top even my Dell. Feels a lot more robust, thin, and overall just runs a lot better than any other laptop I've had or tested. I went from a PC fanboy to a Mac fan this year and it's really hard to go back to PCs after using Macs for months...the better build quality and the much faster, secure, and better OS of Macs...it really is hard to go back to a Windows laptop.
Once you go black, you'll always want to go back to what you had before. But once you go Mac, you can't go back. This is a true statement. No arguing.
I think the wiki is probably more informative than the forum, there are about 35 issues reported on the MacBook Pro I use. The only one I've come across myself is receiving mild electric shocks sporadically if you touch the back of the case (where the screen is) when its plugged in, this only seems to occur for me when I'm on a business trip in England (its fine in the US) .... bit freaky and concerning all the same though Personally I'd suggest you purchase the device you want based upon what your planned usage is for it and your experience of the various operating systems.
Yeah... I just picked a random website to prove a point, but Kamazar took it personally and attacked me with his fanboyism.
Really it comes down to what you are going to use it for. I have always been a PC user, since I am a gamer. And I also need it for developing tools -- C++. And I have always liked the ability to interchange hardware with PC. I can ALWAYS count on upgrading my parts. On the flip side, you basically have to be an "engineer" to run a PC without screwing it up eventually. I know people that can mess up a PC in less than 2 hours. Windows 7 only makes things a bit simpler. It is in all honesty about the same thing with tweaks here and there -- as XP that is. Don't expect it to actually be "simpler", like they say in the commercials. Mac offers simplicity but for a price -- yes Mac hardware is very overpriced I'm sorry but it is the truth. You won't get games, but you can count on your computer to last much longer. Hardware isn't interchangable but since you won't be playing games that doesn't matter as much. Macs are a must if you are developing for ipod. So basically, Macs are much more reliable and for more casual users. But in all honesty, if you are going to be a "casual" user, I still think Linux is the way to go.
So, he's a fanboy since you can't put enough effort in to produce a legitimate argument? M'kay that's makes a WHOLE lot of sense.

It's called feeding the trolls. (or whatever) I tried my best not to. Then again, I just fed you. lol whatever.....
Lets say i run windows 7 on a macbook pro, would it play most modern day games or is it not powerful enough.
