Well, here's hoping! I enjoyed both games even if 2 had a rough start. I'd also be willing to test! Pixeye, what's new in this Dungelot? It certainly looks different than the other 2.
Global map exploring. Whole game divided on big acts. Each act include 5 dungeons, the boss tower and greedy door + chests and other stuff. After finishing dungeon new map cells revealed. To open new act you must find a master boss key on the map to open boss tower. After defeating boss you will get to the new lands. Dungeons are short, about 10-15 floors, Boss tower is a little bit bigger. Monsters and heroes have levels. Hero may level up between dungeon runs for coins. Sooner or later you will become strong enough to finish dungeon and proceed. Battle system - Hero strikes first if his level bigger than monster level, but this rule may be cheated. There are 5 types of damage : poison, shock, ice, fire and physical. Each type of attack may give an effect. For example poison attack may blight you for few turns ( make your attack slower ) - Monsters randomly get attack type. Chompers - a basic traps in new Dungelot. In previous games if you step on block with trap you instantly got hit. But chompers will damage you only if you open neighbour blocks. Chompers live for 5 turns so if you wait it leave. PS that paladin on pic is obsoleted. Hero's mansion. You can find different artifacts for your mansion. They give passive bonuses. Also this is a place where heroes can rest : ) Random per dungeon text quests and global global map text quests that can be triggered only once. Improved dungeon balance with hideouts. Each 5 dungeon floors you will find a safe place, a hideout where you can buy something or restore health. Shop with ability to steal from it. Improved Dungelot I Mood system. Mood is restoring back to neutral regardless good or bad on each dungeon floor. Starvation. Each dungeon floor hero consume 1 portion of meat. You must find meat in dungeon. If you lose all your food you will die. Heroes have 6 artifacts that can be upgraded. But first you must find them. Also Heroes skills are active now, not passive like in the first Dungelot. Each hero have 4 active skills, 1 passive and 1 flaw. For example Paladins flaw is "Tithe" - he give each tenth coin to church : ) Mini games like in first Dungelot.
I enjoyed the first one. Good time killer. I'll be looking forward to this game and am glad it's not free-to-play!
Looks great. I was a huge fan of the first, but the second felt like a step backward in many respects. Love that there's going to be more exploration in this one and a bit of story too.
Awesome!! I played the mess out of the first one and was a golden ham first day purchaser on the second. Didn't like the second as much as I'm sure the devs have found out. I've not given up on you guys though. Im looking forward to this one and will beta test if you guys need one again.
Awesome to hear of another dungelot- one of my fav all time games. Love the fresh ideas. I purchased both (golden ham!) lol. Will purchase this immediately. You rock pixeye. Keep it coming!! Tony
wow, this sounds soooo good ....except for starvation - sounds like frustration to me when you are having a good run and die because rng decided not to give you enough food to carry on hope i can test it soon^^ also like that traps don't hurt you instantly
Hey Pixeye, Saw this posted on the front page...super excited for there to be a new Dungelot! I'd be happy to beta test if you need people when you get to that point.
