There will be blob shadow on the ground enabled by default. It's not done yet but will be soon. Full shadow support with characters shape is to heavy on todays mobile phone graphics processor but we may add it in future to be enable by high end devices.
Whatever you do, don't follow in Order & Chaos' missteps. I'm a long time PC MMO vet and I'd rather pay a decent entry fee + reasonable monthly sub (let's say $10/ $0.99 per month), than this bs pay to win armor buying system that is being put into play. Microtransactions are fine, but if used to create player imbalance, you end up with a situation like Allods. A very promising game, run into the ground by greed that could have been profitable. Now, no one wants to touch it. O&C looks to be headed the same way, so if you provide a more sustainable model, people will flock to it. Mircrotransactions should only be used for non game-breaking or cosmetic purchases. Not armour or skills. Can't wait for the full release! I'd play the beta, but I've been in so many at this point and I feel it spoils some of the wonder.
@Peekachu99 - Check our forum for info but most is cosmetics. As for armor In our opinion selling gear which free player can't get is just a very bad idea. We also think that even selling top tier PvE gear is not a good idea. This is why PvE max gear which can be purchased in WoM with paid coins is [max tier]-1 (minus 1) So you can buy with coins [max tier]-1 gear to start with very high end content (totally optional since all gear drops from bosses) but there is no way to buy PvE [max tier] gear at all. You have to play to get it.
Wow! That totally won me over! I think I might sign up for a Dragon/ lifetime sub. Quick question though is the CC site secure? There's been enough breaches with Sony and whatever else lately Edit: And try and keep the item costs reasonable. Having a cash shop with $100 items/ bundles of gold/ whatever is just in poor taste. I think its pretty cool that the dev team is engaging with the community like you guys are. It worked for RIFT, and I imagine it will work for you guys.

So when are we starting? I have Questions I signed up to be a beta tester a few months ago so when are we gonna start? Also form what ive read on this forum there seem to be talks of money transactions, is this game gonna be free to play with in app purchases or subscription based? Im not a monthly subscription guy so....also do i need to sign up again for the following beta tests after the first? or is once good enough?
@Xyo - 1st pre-beta is full now but you can sign up for next beta or get dragon mount which gets you into all betas. @Skye629 - very detailed info is on forum here http://www.worldofmidgard.com/womforum/ But here is short version. Target plan is for game to be free with item shop but we will do item shop development after the game is done and playable with a few areas. Until item shop is finished game will be free for 2 zones for each faction (total of 4 zones) & 1 dungeon, and then $1.99 for all the rest of zones. We will try to add new zone every 2 months until currently planed 20 zones done.
