I gotta go with Ravensword. Not because people like it and I want to be different, but a game that costs so much is supposed to be good, right? I eagerly waited for its release and had decided this has to be one of the best games out there. Turned out it wasn't. Not saying it's the worst as a game; it might have made a nice PC game, but for iPhone... In short: Ravensword for all the disappointment it caused after so much hype.
ill get a lot of hate for this, but Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor. I bought from the much hype and 5 star reviews it received, but i completely hated it. It was the only app that i deleted less than a couple days after i got it

That's the problem with hype. Most of the time nothing can live up to it in your own mind. For me Ravensword is in the top three of games I've played on my phone. Since I'm here I gotta go with Caster. Good game, good design, I just couldn't control the darn thing.
Out of the games that I can remember playing, Distant Shore. There was just no point to that game whatsoever. And it solely depended on other "players" since all you did was exchange letters. Walk around the beach, find some bottles, send a letter, and then wait for a reply. Nothing else to do, nothing else on the island. And not to mention the fact that half the time, the other players were horny 14 year-old boys asking if you were a girl or not and trying to hook up with said girl.
Hey guys (and gals)!! I don't mean to be the little scrawny guy on the playground saying, "break it up, break it up!!" but I would like to say that some devs really have put their heart and soul into creating the game(s) you'd love to trash. If I could simply ask, if you trash their game, could you maybe say something positive as well? It'd better help them as a developer and you, with karma If I had to choose a game that really made me mad (and many have) that I've purchased it would have to be Urban Tycoon. The dev totally didn't deliver on their promises of what could have been a really great game. (See what I did? I trashed the game, at the same time I complimented the dev. A little Sesame Street goes a long way...)
To be fair we do have far more positive topics than negative But yeah... giving reasons for not liking a game would be much more helpful (to other potential customers as well) and maybe the devs can learn from it. Actually that goes for the whole forum, if you don't like an app, tell the dev what they could do to make you like it, common courtesy
Myst...........I'd still have no clue what is happening, I know it's supposed to be mysterious and all that, but a little aid in telling me whats going on would be nice. And don't bother to tell me to look for guides, that would just end up with me looking through a complex instruction manual on how to unlock the pictures in a slide show. And with 500 mb?? I could fit so many quality games inside that space, no way I'd be willing to sacrifice room for that literal waste of byte space.
Well, for some you listed I feel a bit underwhelmed with some of them, but I wouldnt say worst or anything... I'd definately like pretty much all of the ones you listed to be revisited though.... I remember getting Warmen because of good reviews and one saying it was 'the unsung hero of the app store', when it turned out to be an on-rails shooter (would have gotten Doom first), AND THE WORST PART: If you moved on(to the next block or w/e) before waiting for every enemy to show up, you would get shot in the back and couldn't do anything!!! Titanic Rescue sucked because it was waay to hard.. Pocket God IS NOT A GAME!!! So there you go. I dont defend it or reject it. But it is NO GAME. (its Entertainment ) Edit: I do kind of regret Myst, I know its a great game, but i just feel stuck with nothing except some hints that didnt do anything(maybe they did but see next), and the pace is so slow its a bit frustrating for me.. for now Nothing else I can remember that I really loathe getting.. I try to make smart purchases and I dont buy those super-indie apps.. if there were any they are burned from my memory..
The guy that said CoD: zombies, are u high? Sure it was pricey and the controls weren't perfect, but was it one of the worst game that was ever released on the app store? I spose its just your opinion but seriously, its just wrong. Unless your just trying to stir shit. And the thing about not insulting devs efforts, this is a forum, should it really be censored just so we dont hurt the feelings of the the devs? I get what your saying about constructive criticism but we shouldn't feel bad about what we think is a bad game coz it might hurt the feelings of the dev. Can't really think of any games I've bought myself that are that bad
i wish my games were more popular - bash as much as you like i think this thread is a little bit of a waste - mainly because really the point is all about personal preferences and tastes.. if you are going to vote on games; why not do something around demographics - age groups, sex etc.. i would be more interested in these statistics
